International Angling offers Peacock Bass Anglers a great fishery in the Llanos Orientales ( Eastern Plains ) of Colombia. The Llanos is a dynamic and extensive system of grasslands and seasonally-flooded plains, which form the Orinoco River Basin in Northern South America, and it is shared by both Colombia and Venezuela. Anglers will stay at Refugio Nimajay on the shores of the Bita River, which opened to International Anglers in 2008. This beautiful river starts as a small spring fed stream in the middle of the Llanos and slowly winds downstream through the plains down to the mighty Orinoco River. The Bita River is a very picturesque river system with many bends, deep lagoons, oxbows, shallows, and beautiful white sand beaches where anglers will find interesting and challenging fishing spots to entice Trophy Pavon.
